I completed an MSc in Computer Integrated Manufacturing in Design Manufacturing and Engineering Management (DMEM) at the University of Strathclyde and developed a system to explore aspects of Auditory Localisation for Telepresence. This led onto a PhD in Telepresence in the same group. Additional work has involved working as a research fellow on a number of interesting projects including a Wheelchair Virtual Reality platform with Haptic Feedback, and a 3D viewing system.
I have published papers on all of this work other than the 3D viewing material, aspects of which are patentable, and one patent and an additional patent application has been submitted.
Apart from my research I enjoy Hang Gliding as well as (very) occasional golf and skiing.
